Missouri 10-33 Benevolent Fund Remembers Former President Rick Wilson and His Family's Legacy of Service

The Missouri 10-33 Benevolent Fund proudly honors the life and legacy of former President Rick Wilson, whose leadership and dedication helped shape the organization’s mission of serving families of fallen public safety personnel across Missouri.

Rick Wilson carried a legacy deeply rooted in service and sacrifice. He was the grandson of Roger I. Wilson, the Boone County Sheriff who was killed in the line of duty in 1933. That history was not just a family story—it was a calling that guided Rick’s commitment to ensuring that no family facing such a loss would stand alone.

During his time as President, Rick worked tirelessly to strengthen the reach and impact of the Fund, helping expand support to families across the entire state of Missouri. His leadership reflected both compassion and purpose, grounded in a personal understanding of what line-of-duty loss means for families left behind.

Those who worked alongside Rick remember him not only for his dedication, but for his quiet strength, generosity, and unwavering belief in the mission.

“Rick didn’t just lead the organization—he lived its purpose,” one colleague shared. “He understood the importance of being there for families in their darkest moments.”

Today, the Missouri 10-33 Benevolent Fund continues its work in part because of Rick Wilson’s lasting contributions. His legacy serves as a powerful reminder of why the mission matters—and why it must continue.

As the Fund moves forward, it does so with deep gratitude for Rick’s leadership and with a continued commitment to honoring the service and sacrifice of Missouri’s public safety community.
